Truth And Consequences- Podcast 156
Today’s podcast describes a meditation called “Four Powerful Reminders.”Radical Change- Podcast 153
Today’s podcast discusses Radical Change. Change is a part of life, yet no matter what, change happens. It is a prerequisite to life. Yet none of us does very well with change.
GMO Labeling Revisited: Podcast 150
Dr Oz Maverick continues- Podcast 149
As promised, Dr. Oz did some investigative reporting about the 10 Columbia University physicians who accused him of being a quack. All of them are firmly opposed to GMO labeling that began originally in California, and then from state to state. One, Henry Miller, used to be a key supporter for the tobacco industry and is a firm supporter of pesticides and GMO mass agricultural techniques.Dr Mehmet Oz Maverick- Podcast 148
Dr. Oz stood up to 10 physicians from Columbia University over the last few days. The doctors are accusing Dr. Oz of quackery. His response is, “You may not agree with me, but this is a democracy, the cornerstone of which is free speech.”In 1998, I wrote a letter to the New York Times which was not published. Nevertheless, the letter addressed a fourth grade science project that sought to disprove the validity of Therapeutic Touch. JAMA (Journal Of The American Medical Association) wrote it up and the New York Times responded soon after.
The article was entitled “A Child’s Paper Poses A Medical Challenge,” written in response to the JAMA article “A Close Look At Therapeutic Touch.”
When I pray for someone’s recovery, I could ask them for permission and often do, but don’t ask permission of their physician. 20 years later, these attitudes still persist. Dr. Oz is a Maverick and I have the utmost respect for him.
And I love his magazine, The Good Life. It is chock full of health tips. I’ve tried many of them, and they work! Whatever you do, buy it at your local CVS pharmacy or supermarket.
Divine Potential-Podcast 147
The simple things are also the most extraordinary things, and only the wise can see them. – Paulo CoelhoDear Goddess, Thank you for giving us our lives and the ability to live them out according to our earthly commitments. Thank you for all the lessons we agree to learn in this earthly incarnation, with the people in our lives we chose before birth to fulfill our spiritual growth. Thank you for all of it.
I will listen to messages from Divine Potential today through dreams, nature signs, through music I listen to, through pictures and painting and photographs I surround myself with.
We are all Heroes on this mystic journey we call Life. Sometimes we struggle to make the right choices. We are called upon to rise above mere survival to the pinnacle of self-actualization.
As we work through the symbols that show up, we learn to see with symbolic vision. Emotional and spiritual wounds heal more quickly. We learn to trust in Divine Timing in our lives: that the right people show up at the right moment, and the flow of Divine Blessings is never ending.
We cannot do this with our mind or intellect. We develop the heart’s intuition so that love springs easily with every possible interaction.
The effort involved with all of this is to make the only choices to further our spiritual growth: to love, forgive, let go, and meet resistance with a willingness to try once again perhaps in another season of time, to fulfill our mission in this lifetime.
The Divine works through our animals to teach the universal truths of life. If we are open to this, our spiritual evolution is hastened by what I call a celestial speed up. When I got Mukunda after 28 years of not having a dog, my perception of love, forgiveness and creativity flourished. I will never go another second without having a dog.

God’s Revolution- Podcast 145
As we pray with each in and out breath and welcome the beautiful seasons of the year, I wanted to discuss the canonization of Dorothy Day, as seen from the perspective of James Douglass, author of “JFK: And The Unspeakable.”
Music Of The Animals- Podcast 144
Dear Goddess, Everything, every person, my daily work, every relationship and everyone I meet, everyone I help and helps me, allows me to set my inner compass. All of it helps me work with my personal power. How I work and play with my energy gives insight as to how to give and receive all of the available and endless energy in the world.
How do we choose to learn from all of these seemingly random stimuli? Do we slow down and pause in order to receive messages coherently and deliberately?
Or does the incoming data speed up our senses and reaction time? Do we walk and breathe faster and allow the mind to run rampant with recycled thoughts?
Today is the day when we wake up collectively to the music of the spheres, the great cosmic messages that are ours if we open to receive them. We can learn to give what we received tenfold because we realize the beauty of the gift.
Look into the eyes of your companion animal, or a dog or cat you happen to meet in your travels. What revelations can be garnered from those soulful windows into the fathomless pool of spirit?
Receive the love that brought you into this world.
Om Peace Amen
Prayer For The Seasons–Podcast 142
Dear Goddess, Thank you for seeing us through another entire tax season. Perhaps the next season will be less stressful. Perhaps the process will be streamlined. Now it is time for spring cleaning and planting a garden: vegetables for food, flowers for beauty. The four seasons give great opportunity for adjustment and fine-tuning of our bodily energy systems. For instance, as energy rises from the earth in spring time, we capture the synergy into our collective heart and sing songs and dance with purifying breezes.
Summer brings with it cleansing heat to our bodies and long days with picnics and celebrations, sunbathing and sun appreciation. Pearlie likes to take her long walks in the cool of a summer morning. Those moments before the sun reaches her zenith are the only time to get things done. But Pearlie’s walks are always on the top of the list.
Autumn reminds us of endings and contemplation as the days shorten after the summer solstice. The nights grow longer. The sky brings dramatic changes of dark and light, and weather can be unpredictable. Autumn brings with it the reminder of the winter ahead.
As winter begins, the days grow ever shorter, yet weather is perfect for outdoor winter sports. Ice is a reality for us in winter. Slipping and falling on ice is a good way to die. Yak Tracks are in my future for the next cycle of the winter months.
Winter is a beautiful season. All seasons are perfectly gorgeous in their own way. We live on the Conestoga River and in Winter I can see clear down to the Lancaster County Park and clear up to the bridge that takes travelers to historic Lancaster City. As close as we are to the city, we are protected from it by wildfowl, raccoons, Red Fox, Eagles, Heron and Hawk. The barking red fox and woot of the Owl is sublime as I lie listening by an open window.
And always the return of spring time. This year it was late by at least a month. We were still slipping and sliding on ice as recently as 30 days ago. Thankfully we have a four-wheel-drive vehicle to brave the 280 foot Lane we live on. I am always pray-full when the snowstorms move in. I still have to get to home births in Amish country. Braving weather conditions strengthens me and makes me fearless. But I don’t ever look forward to facing the reality of a snowstorm in the middle of the night – the times I work.
Calling in the guardian angels is always a good idea, for every season, for every endeavor.
Om Peace Amen
