Reading: An Act Of Self-Love-Podcast 187
In this podcast, I recommend hopping over to the New World library book sale, which is happening right now until June 20. The books they have for sale now are $.99 each.
Reading is an act of self love. I experiences this every time I pick up a book and read it.
This is what today’s podcast is all about.
Lover Of Dogs-Part 2 -Podcast 186
Today, once again, I am hanging out with Pearlie and Skeeter Doodle because Skeeter’s mom and dad went away for the next two weeks. I am blessed to be in the presence of these Noble, Noble Canines. T.S. Elliot, our cat, has learned to tease even more stridently than in the past.
I am happy being in the presence of these beautiful creatures.
An old beagle showed up at our house over the weekend. I tell the story on today’s podcast.
Pearlie’s right hind leg is still weakened by the ice over the winter months. Pearlie and Skeeter used to play like puppies and so I was worried that Pearlie would further injure her leg. But that is not the way of the day. They’re hanging out just like good old friends. Their relationship has evolved to an even deeper bond of understanding.
Page Turner – Podcast 185
After The Devastation, a book by Paul M Louis, is a real page turner. I am on the edge of my seat up to the very end. This is Paul’s first book yet he has written many articles and blog posts. He has an award-winning blog with our friend Kevin Miller called Two Old Liberals.
I mentioned the Compassionate Project in my podcast today, and here is the link to register for the year long course.
The podcast today is about Paul’s amazing book. Climate Change enthusiasts must read this and have discussions about the subject matter. It is awesome!
Your Next Shift- Podcast 184
I had a wonderful discussion yesterday on a Google Hangout with Elizabeth Scala, author of Your Next Shift.
The Google Hangout is included in this blog post.
This is what we discussed:
1) self care
2) loving your self, first
3) standing up for yourself when often, no one else will
4) integrating entrepreneurial skills in your nursing job, no matter where you find your self in the world of nursing.
And much more!
Here is where you can buy Elizabeth’s book, Your Next Shift.

Being Alone- Podcast 183
It is the rare person who enjoys being alone. Yet if you love being alone, you are in a unique position to love yourself in a way very few others experience.
But it is possible to learn to love being alone. I am reading Marc Allen’s new book, Tantra For The West, and he covers this, and much more, in his new book.
That is what today’s podcast is about.
Hives Of Planet Loving Activity
Planet Loving Activity is an artform extraordinaire. The planet is our mother. The planet is our home.
Imagine planet earth spinning in the galaxy and you are watching it from afar. The blues and the greens are stunning. You think to yourself, what a paradise it must be to exist on that planet.
You think to yourself, the people who live there must be very grateful to have such a beautiful place to thrive and joyfully live out each day.
You think to yourself, if I lived there, I would be in love with every moment of my life.
As we come closer to the planet that is most beautiful, we see strife, competition, hate–I saw all of this in my most recent job sojourn – we see poverty, starvation, sadness, suffering.
Also existing side-by-side with this scenario, is spontaneity, joy, enlightenment, but most importantly Love.
But it is greed that threatens the very life on planet Earth herself.
The Karl Roves of this world make it seem like there’s nothing we can do about the environment: the rising seas, the melting of the glaciers, the extinction of so many beautiful animals.
It seems as if there are so many dire situations on this planet today, that most people are overwhelmed. Most people have no idea where to start to make the world a better place.
Some people think literacy is the most important. Others think health care must be addressed urgently. Super pacs and money in politics has created a walking time bomb in our political system, and the end of democracy as we know it appears imminent.
But If our environment here on planet earth is threatened as demonstrated by climate change in the form of violent storms, more earthquakes, more tornadoes, devastating hurricanes, tsunamis, and flooding–and human on this beautiful planet continue to deny our part in this process, refusing to take responsibility, acting as if we are victims of this worldwide phenomenon, then I would say we are doomed.
What if we become victorious instead of victims, if communities of caring people join together to solve not only environmental problems, but problems that affect us all?
What if we do these things in a spirit of camaraderie and harmony?
What if hives of Planet Loving Activity become the norm instead of the exception?
As the spirit of planet loving activity blossoms, the planet will thank us.
She will know that we are Listening.

Read Books- Podcast 182
I just received two books in the mail which I will be reading and will interview the authors within the next few weeks.
The first book is called Tantra For The West by Marc Allen. This book was written 30 years ago and is now revised in its present form. From what I have read, it looks to be an enlightening look at the new paradigms we are experiencing in the 21st Century.
The second book is called After The Devastation by Paul M Lewis. It is an apocalyptic story about how climate change finally reaches a devastating blow on humans, trees and earth and what that means to the people and all living breathing entities.
This is what today’s podcast is about.
Long Live SiCKO-and Donna Smith-Podcast 181
Donna Smith is one of my heroines because she is a single payer advocate, a brave and noble person, and unlike most I meet on the Internet, I met her in person. My husband couldn’t make it, but she genuinely wanted to meet him, and spoke to him on the phone. I thought that was awesome.
She wrote an article I want to share with you.
That’s what this podcast is about, today.
Aging Not Ageism- Podcast 180
Herb McCollom is a playwright in his mid 80’s. Soon we will do a Google hangout with him.
Herb believes and exemplifies through his work, that aging need not be ageism, but could be and in many cases MUST be a renaissance period where we seize life in a way we never seized it before.
That’s what today’s podcast is about.
Teaching The Method -Podcast 179
The method I am referring to is called the Neural Mechano Therapeutic Massage. I’ve known how to do it since I’ve been six years of age. My homeopathic family physician, Hal Williams, who was also an M.D., taught it to me and to people in my immediate family as well as members of his immediate family.
He learned it from a spiritual healer by the name of Dr Ella Kilgus who’s mentor was William James the philosopher, author of Varieties Of Religious Experience.
This is what this podcast is all about.
Additionally here is the link to our upcoming Google hang out to discuss Elizabeth Scala’s new book called Your Next Shift.
