I Am Not My Thoughts-Podcast 236

A solid daily meditation practice helps us to deepen and enhance “The Witness,” that quality of mind that helps us to rise above the 60,000 thoughts we have everyday, and create a Being-ness instead of a busy-ness or doing-ness to our moments.

Being-ness allows us to live in the present moment.

According to 1GiantMind, a meditation app you can get on your smart phone, the Qualities of Being are as follows–
Self-awareness

Dynamism

Adaptability

Compassion

Enthusiasm

Innovation

And the unending capability to witness and respond to life’s challenges and demands.

That’s why today’s podcast is about!

The K2 Epidemic- Podcast 234

Last night, we had a close encounter with a man on the street who was reeling back and forth and then nearly collapsed in the middle of a busy city street in my home town.
We got him off the street, before he passed out in my lap. His pulse was thready and 120 beats per minute.

He was suffering from the effects of K2. Some call it synthetic marihuana, but that is a misnomer.

People often experience harsh side effects of psychotic meltdowns, high blood pressure, seizure, stroke and hallucinations.

This man was no exception. I thought he would die on my lap.

Love Created You- Podcast 232

Let’s be honest. That which created you and me is that which we must align to. We are not separated from that which created us.

I have been having troubles with my Audello podcast iPhone app. I have the app located on my husband’s computer, and was able to just now test it to see if it crashed.

All is well. Now onward to fixing the app on my iPhone. Patiently and lovingly.

Amen.

A Climate Warning-Podcast 228

Here is another reminder to get Paul Lewis’ book called After The Devastation, about what could happen if we don’t get moving as a human race to halt climate change.

A new article in Rolling Stone brings this point to the center of my mind.

Spiritual Practice or a “positive attitude” does not mean denying or ignoring this challenge.

This is what today’s podcast is all about.

Find God Within- Podcast 221

I am presently writing a market analysis for my book, Prayer Prescriptions: 14 Spiritual Remedies For Long Lasting Health.

The first draft is done.

I don’t really understand what took me so long to get this particular book published. But the time has come. No matter how you look at it, it will be published, to be safe, this year.

It is my flagship Prayer Prescription book. I like the sound of that. Midwife Bonnie said this to me the other night, and I loved the sound of it.

What are you sitting on which you aren’t sharing with the world? Don’t die with your music inside of you, as Wayne Dyer always says.

Concentrate. Focus. Meditate. Pray.

Who Am I- Podcast 220

Yesterday, my podcast was about our upcoming meditation workshop, which I will put the link at the bottom of the page.
I was doing some research today on Ramana Maharshi, who brought the “Who Am I” process to the West.

He had an awakening by way of a near death experience.

This is what today’s podcast is all about.

Yesterday’s blog post.

The Light Of The World-Podcast 218

I just came out of a meditation this evening and received some disturbing news. I was upset for split-second until I realized–hey I just meditated for an hour and I’m going to ruin it with freaking out over something I cannot do one thing about?

This time of my life is now called the post meditation era. As soon as I tuned into my innermost self, I realized this situation would be remedied by someone other than myself. in all cases, there is little to do, except Pray, which is a powerful act of Love.

Sandra Bland- the Texas police force just ruled her death as a suicide.
There will be hell to pay, and my meditation self will have to observe the shit storm as it evolves.

Miracles: Double Edge -Podcast 197

We can believe in something but actually have no direct experience with what we think we believe in.

A perfect example of this is the belief in an afterlife. We may believe we die and that’s it but until we experience the cosmic levels and multi-dimensions involved with All That Is, and if we’ve been raised to believe in science versus cosmic experience and never the twain shall meet, then we need direct experience in order to transcend a belief that doesn’t serve anybody, including ourselves.

I know for myself that I was raised to believe in life after death. Subsequent experiences have shown me that there is so much more than what we can possibly know. My generation has had direct experience with expanding consciousness especially with LSD. People who were ordinarily confined to a one dimensional world view, suddenly saw life as multidimensional with beautiful colors and joyful adjacent realities.
Now there are numerous books on the experience of near death experiences. But just because others have had these experiences and we haven’t, relegates our perspective into a mere believe and not a direct experience. Yet often as we read something we directly experience it.

Julia Asante’s book the Last Frontier is such a book. I am enjoying reading it again.
Marc Allen and I agreed in our conversation last night on Kate Loving and the Collective Wisdom that the main cause of fear is rooted in the fear of death. Julia Assante says the same thing.

People define miracles in ways that are self-limiting. For instance, if you have a dire diagnoses, you may think that the miracle would be to be healed of the melody. Yet when that or if that does not happen, you think you are not one of the chosen people.

As Pastor Verkow said this morning, miracles are a double edged sword. I told him about a young man with stage four pancreatic cancer, and he is terrified that when he dies, he will not be saved in the traditional Christian sense.

That is the saddest thing I’ve ever heard, sadder than the fact that he is dying at such an young age. The miracle would be for him to feel God’s love before he dies. Let us pray.

Not On My Shift– Podcast 193

I was doing my morning journaling and the phrase “not on my shift” popped into my head. This phrase usually means, the patient is not going to die, have a code or upset the apple cart until it’s my time to go home. The next shift can take care of any of those disturbing situations, but don’t let them happen to me.

What would be more appropriate is if “not on my shift” transforms to “the buck stops here.”
No whining on my shift.
No one up man ship on my shift.
No bullying on my shift.
Whatever happens on my shift, I face it’s squarely and honestly without denying or defying the situation.
Nurses are facing a sicker and sicker population of humans in the work they do.
When Doctors scream at nurses – not on my shift.

When midwives throws nurses under the bus- not on my shift.

When punitive leadership styles and fear of losing your job rear up because you are standing up for yourself- not on my shift.
The universe supports me – on my shift.
I am am in complete control of my life – on my shift.
My life and your life is abundant – on my shift.
There are infinite possibilities – on my shift.
